Some of you have been asking me questions about what type of foundation they should use and if they need to use any at all. While I think that wearing foundation will make your overall makeup look clean and fresh, I do not believe that it is “mandatory” to make you look good. It all depends of your skin type. If you have VERY good skin with no discoloration or pimples, you can probably get away without wearing any foundation and still have a flawless face. However, if your skin is not that perfect (without it looking like the “before” of a pro-active commercial…) I will recommend to use some foundation.

Foundation comes in all form and texture, going from cream, liquid or stick. I will break it down for you and tell you which ones are the best for your skin type and the coverage you are looking for.
FOUNDATIONS:
-
Creme foundation: will give you the most coverage
-
Iridescent stick/liquid foundation: will add light or a glow to the complexion
-
Liquid foundation: will give you a medium coverage with a light moisturizing effect
-
Sheer foundation: will give you a light coverage
POWDERS:
-
Loose, translucent powder: is very light in texture (you will need this no matter what your skin type is)
-
Pressed powder: will give you a more opaque coverage and can be used with foundation or alone
-
Iridescent powder: looks great if you are looking for a shimmery look
-
Bronze powder: will give your skin a sun-kissed look. I use mine as a blush sometimes…
