Too much color matching is a NO-NO!!!

Something that a lot of people like to do is matching the color of their outfit with their makeup. I was once invited to a black and red party and saw this girl with a bright red “wet” looking eyeshadow on her eyes…I didn’t even think it was eyeshadow as I cannot recall ever seeing an eyeshadow that red anywhere…it looked more like Marilyn Monroe’s lipstick on her eyelid! I wish I had taken a picture of her!

So to answer my dear sister question, I do not think that matching your makeup with your outfit is wrong, but there is a good way to do it without having to look like the cute little girl on the picture. My recommendation is: do not over-do it! If you are wearing a blue outfit for example, have some blue eyeshadow on your lower lid but blend it with natural colors like bronze or earth tones (make sure your lip is as natural as possible). Also, remember that these natural colors can match any outfit…And one last thing, avoid wearing bright colors with a smokey eye, that’s a big NO-NO!
