Bey and cute nude lips…

Bey was looking amazing once again while attending ‘Los 40 Principales’ 2008 awards ceremony at the Palacio de los Deportes last Friday in Madrid, Spain. She was wearing a very soft smokey eye with adorable nude lips. Divas remember that you can never go wrong with nude lips. You do not necessarly need a lipliner to achieve this look if you have a light complexion. If you are a lil bit darker, use a brown lip pencil like BOBBI BROWN Chocolate, MAC chestnut (cork if u want it lighter). To replicate Beyonce’s lips, I would just use CORK lipliner with REVEALING lipglass (make sure u blend the liner as much as possible) You can also use chestnut or Bobbi Brown Chocolate if you have a darker complexion and if your lips are naturally not light or pink…REVEALING will give you that same nude look…

Now let me go back to cleaning my brushes…I have a bride to be coming for a trial…I have so many wedding makeup to do and I seriously wonder when it will be time for my own, who will have the magic brush…

Beauty of the week ***ROCHELLE AYTES***

You may remember Rochelle if you are a fan of Tyler Perry’s movies. She played the role of the beautiful fiance of very handsome Blair Underwood in Madea’s family Reunion. She also did a lot of commercials for L’Oreal, Coca-Cola, Mc Donalds and Mercedes Benz.

Her look on this picture is very soft and yet, looks very glamour…Here is how you could do this at home:

Foundation: Mineralize satin finish liquid

Concealer: Select cover up

Blush: Mineralized blush “Love Thing”

Powder: Lose powder

Base: Cream color base SHELL

Lid: Retrospeck

Crease: Woodwinked

Highlighter: Shroom

Lipstick: Honeyflower

Lipgloss: lipgelee Gemshine

Beauty of the week ***WARIS DIRIE***

I was sitting in my living room watching a documentary on female genital mutilation in Africa  and thought about all the women that went through that sad and barbaric experience. Among them is Waris Dirie, a Somalian model who gained international fame as a model posing in Chanel ads and acting in the 1987 James Bond movie “The Living Daylights” before launching her campaign against female genital mutilation in 1996. She shocked the world with a best-selling book “Desert Flower” that described how her genitals were sliced off with a dirty razor blade without anesthesia, and then stitched together. (Source)

She recently made headlines when she vanished for 3 days in Brussels, Belgium. She was found alive on Friday, March 7, 2008 by a plainclothes Brussels policeman, in the presence of a local window cleaner. He told press, that the couple met in a pub and were planning to spend dinner together. Dirie could not give an explanation over what happened, and only said that she was lost, and couldn’t find her way back to her hotel. Since she had no money on her, she had been sleeping in hotel lobbies. Afterwards, she declared that she was kidnapped for two days by a taxi driver and the story of having been lost was to keep the press from asking her too many questions. (source)

I am not a big fan of her eye makeup on this picture but really like how her skin is flawless.

To replicate her look, I would slightly change the way her eye makeup was done using a combination of grey smokey eye shadows.

Beauty of the week: ***JENNIFER HUDSON***

Sorry Divas…I haven’t put a beauty of the week for weeks but we are baaaack!

I was sure that I was going to have Jennifer Hudson as my beauty of the week for 2 reasons: she has an exceptional voice  but she is also a natural black beauty. I went to see Sex and the City two weeks ago with my girls and I just found her makeup flawless in the movie. It was not too much…not too natural…just on point.

Before detailing Jennifer’s makeup, I need to tell you how I was sooo happy about seeing Carrie and Big on the big screen! The movie itself was PHENOMENAL I should say! I didn’t expect it to be that good but I was amazingly surprised on how they were able to turn out the show in such a good movie. All hail SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker) and amazing shoes (Manolo Bs! Nothing but the best!!!)! Still love Christian Louboutin of course. Samantha’s dresses were just to die for! Make sure you rush to the movies if you have not seen it yet!

Foundation: Studio Tech Foundation

Concealer: Studio Finish Concealer

Blush: NEW***NEO-SCI FI in X-rocks

Eyebrows: Eyeshadow in Espresso

Lashes: MAC lash #2

Liner: Jennifer does not seem to be wearing any liner with that very nude lip

Don’t they all look so fashionable!!??!!

Beauty of the week ***TIA MOWRY***

It seems like everybody has Tia Mowry on their mind…Ebene sent me a beautiful picture of her and Miss Cynthus from Kuruma featured her wedding on her blog…

Well, she sure deserves to be my beauty of the week just because she has that “je ne sais quoi” that makes her look so adorable and increasingly sophisticated. Might be love…or good genes…or a good facialist…who knows…I don’t know about you but I am glued to my TV every Sunday night to watch the Game… I love her style as Melanie Barnett…although I love her boyfriend/ex in the show Derwin wayyyy more… 😉

So here is how I would replicate her look: (All MAC unless specified)

Blush: a mix of Gingerly and Sunbasque

Highligter: Mineralized Skinfinish WARMED on T-ZONE

Ok I had to share this picture with you Divas…here is Derwin (Pooch Hall) with his amaaazing 6 packs in a scene of THE GAME…

Beauty of the Week: ***Meagan Good***

Sorry divas I have been out for a week…thank you all for your warm wishes I am feeling much better! I am happy to be back on my feet because I really missed writing…I could not even go to the Heatherette event at MAC Georgetown :o( but hey, that’s ok, I sure have a lot to say about Heatherette…

Meagan Good is the beauty of the week for 2 reasons: 1- her skin is always flawless and 2 she has perfect eyebrows (you know eyebrows are my thing…) and funny enough, she has a lil’ something that reminds me of my baby sis Cynthia (with less cheeks of course)…lol…I would post a pic of her but I’m not sure she would like that…And lastly, we are connected by five degrees of separation, she may have dated a friend of mine but shhhh….don’t tell anyone…(smile)

I particularly like her eye makeup on the second picture (the picture itslef is not great…).

  • New MAC liquid Strobe Cream
  • Select SPF 15 foundation
  • Blush creme in Cheery

  • Lid: Romp
  • Corner of eye lid: Amber lights
  • Crease: Soba
  • Highlighter: a concealer on the brow bone 1 shade lighter
  • Eyebrows: I think these are tatooed but I would still suggest the usual Spiked or Stud pencil add some clear mascara on top or brow gel like Show-off.

Meagan lips are almost always nude pink

  • Lipglass Sock Hop from Heatherette (great color!)
  • Lipliner Beurre

Beauty of the week: ***MEGAN FOX***

The beautiful actress Megan fox stands out from all Hollywood beauties because of her olive-skinned complexion and perfeclty shaped eyebrows. She is the cutest of all brunettes and always has this special look that just makes you wonder if she is sassy or just sexy…Remember her in Transformers? (a really cool movie that left some in tears…hummm Ebene…) Megan is often compared to Angelina for the sexiness she oozes, lovely pout and love of tattoos.

I am loving her lips and eyebrows on this picture.

To get this look, try:

Foundation: Studio Fix Fluid

Blush: Desert Rose

Eyelid: Kid eyeshadow

Crease: Very soft with Bamboo

Highlighter: Vanilla

Liner: Thick line on top of the lashes with Blacktrack fluidline

Under-eye liner: Graphblack

Lashes: MAC # 2

Liner: Cream’o spice

Lipstick: Vegas Volt
